ABOUT ME
I consider myself to be a little shy at first, but I think that I feel comfortable around people pretty quickly after that. I am an open-minded person who believes in equality, tolerance and respect. I don't mind traveling or exploring alone, after all I am an only child, some may call this independence, but it was just the way I was raised. Nevertheless, I like to meet new people all the same. I was born in the great state of Oregon and spent my first 17 years of life there before wanderlust took hold and gave me a whirlwind tour of five cities in Colorado and California over three years. San Diego had a hold of me for 8 years, but since then I've been bouncing around different parts of the world for varying lengths of time.
PHILOSOPHY
Each person that you meet teaches you something new about yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After hosting a few surfers and with each one being a good experience, my involvement has triggered an interest with my friends, so I hope they will get involved as well. I have hosted surfers in Tokyo, Bogotá, San Diego, Los Angeles, Hofuf (Saudi Arabia), Antofagasta (Chile) and now New Orleans.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I ended up staying in Santiago with a guy I met on the Inca Trail in Peru. He showed me all around Santiago, and even took me along to his family's Sunday lunch feast! Later on the same trip at a hostel in Cordoba, Argentina, I was told about CS and the rest is history...
Interests
I like to try new things, meet new people, eat new foods, drink new beers and wines. I like to go skiing, hiking, jogging, and go exploring. I love to watch sporting events of all kinds especially in person. Above all, I love to travel and finding the time and money to do so motivates me every day.

My favorite movies are Gladiator, Butterfly Effect, Dumb & Dumber, There's Something about Mary, The Prestige and Rudy. I like books about travel or best selling fiction, The Life of Pi comes to mind as one of my favorites along with the Kiterunner. Music-wise, I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Empire of the Sun, as well as some hip hop and alternative.
