Overview
About Me
I am an adventurous traveler who doing more 'business travel' these days as a part of my research in water, sanitation, and hygiene systems. I also study and teach Vinyasa Yoga (Prana Flow) yoga (beginner in Ashtanga), and kitesurf any chance I get.
ABOUT ME
I am positive and easy going; I love adventure and I have a good time doing nearly everything. I am very independent but I enjoy engaging socially and intellectually with interesting people. I am a generally curious person and I like to work hard...these days that means spending a lot of time on my laptop rather than digging holes. I balance this by doing lots of sports, practicing yoga, and barbequing with friends when I find a chance!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I respect everybody. I pick up hitchhikers. I promote couchsurfing.com among conscious community members. I do the dishes and take out the trash.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I spent about three years as a wandering traveler without a real place to call home, so I place high value on treating strangers with kindness and respect- always offering what I have to share. I have couchsurfed in many countries (with and without the website), and have hosted couchsurfers in a couple. I have even couchsurfed in my own town. I find hosting and surfing are both great in that they encourage people to 'travel' within their home region and appreciate things that they might otherwise take for granted.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working on canoeing the entire length of the Mississippi River (Leg 1 was ~ 600 miles). Most amazing trail I have walked is John Muir Trail in California, most difficult one is South Coast Trail Tasmania.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach and learn. I am into math and chemistry, nutrition and natural health, survival skills, yoga, informal psychology/ sociology, childcare and common sense. I am okay in general handywork, computers, bike maintenance, wood-working, sewing, gardening, hula hooping, etc. I'm bad at telling you whether you are hanging the picture in the center of the wall or not.
