Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a newbie, but I've spent time with my friends' couch-surfers and it's always been a fun time.

Interests

Art, Anthropology, Astrology, Historic Building Conservation Trades, Photography, Chocolate.
I love learning languages, trying new foods, biking, and working on bikes.
Visiting and being involved in cultural institutions like museums are things I enjoy doing. I like linking people, places, and their stories.
Recently, I have been interested in practicing mindfulness; through meditation and personal rituals such as tarot-reading and intention-setting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the winter of 2014, I drove across the western half of the U.S. in a ramshackle Ford 250 (with camper topper) that maxed out at 60 miles per hour.

I finished a Masters degree.

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: I speak and write English, I fix bikes, I play the violin. I am familiar with a variety of art media, including drawing, painting and photography.

WANT: I would like to learn more woodworking, woodcarving, plant identification, violin-making, welding, survival skills, and building (carpentry, masonry, electrical) knowledge.

Languages I would most like to practice are: French, Spanish, & German. I am also learning Catalan.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am an o.k. cook. I can participate in music-making. I can teach English or drawing, or painting, or bicycle mechanics.
