About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Tattoo most of the world into my travel diary
ABOUT ME
I have moved a lot in the last few years, mostly between Seattle and Sao Paulo. I graduated in 2009 and am currently freelancing (web content in Seattle and translation/English teaching in Sao Paulo). I research informal economic activity and will be going into a PhD program at UT Austin in the fall.
Feel free to contact me -- I love both my cities and showing people around them -- but my schedule and living situation are usually in flux.
PHILOSOPHY
Bokononism.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed around Seattle plenty of times between homes or during holidays. I spent a summer couchsurfing around Brazil and have since spent a lot of time backpacking, often relying on strangers' hospitality, though only occasionally using CS.org.

I love my job, my city, other people's cities, music, and plenty of other things.

Music, Movies, and Books
I grew up without a TV, so my movie/TV knowledge is limited to Firefly, True Blood, Family Guy, and whatever movies I saw for free.
I'll listen to anything and I like most of what I hear, but riot grrrl and dyke folk saw me through high school and I'll never forget that.
Books used to be the end all and be all, but then I started working and going to university. When I do read, I like anything that puts my head in a twist.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Angkor Wat Complex, Seim Reap, Cambodia. Hands down.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't do it often, but I can cook pretty well and will happily do so if staying at your house. I used to be vegan and would entertain myself by cooking (secretly vegan) food for people that thought veganism was stupid... I still have some good recipes. I can also make decent Thai food (I had family over there for quite awhile) and most standard American things.
I also know a fair amount about music tech and hair dying, but those are more specific skills that don't come in handy all that often. If you want to learn, I'll happily teach you, though.
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Greece, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
Brazil, Ecuador, United States
