Overview
About Me
A 34-year-old guy born and raised in the occupied territory of southern Sweden.
Residing in Cairns, Australia, since June 2019. I bike, read, write, drink beer, Bungy-jump, and try my best to enjoy the chilled out paradise-vibe.
I'm a social anthropologist by training, specialising in the social action of tourism and what it all really says about us as humans. I'm especially fascinated by how the presence of tourists reorganises social relations among those living in the visited locations.
I write books about my travels and am currently in the process of publishing an account of when I admitted the reincarnation of Jesus Christ to a psychiatric clinic in Havana, Cuba.
I think the key to life is to not take it too seriously. That state of mind makes everything more enjoyable for everyone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my mid-twenties I lived in a big share house in Oslo and we had couch surfers crashing at our place all the time. I really like the notion of meeting people with perspectives on life very different from your own.
