About Me

My name is Callia and I come from many places. I’m interested in many things but a master of none. I like spending my time checking things off my list of "things I want to learn about" and "places I want to see".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

New cities are like doors that visitors knock on, and locals are the only ones who can open those doors for us :)

Interests

Other ways I spend my free time besides traveling: practicing yoga, cooking (vegan) meals, playing capoeira, reading any book I can get my hands on, passionately singing alone in my room, dancing like a crazy person with my friends, lazy Sundays in the sun after a great breakfast, long walks through Paris, swimming in the ocean, writing about life and love, learning new languages, tasting new foods, reading poetry out loud, aaand dreaming of a new adventure :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love everything from Pink Floyd to Rihanna to techno to Mozart to songs in foreign languages that I don't understand one bit.

I always have a book on me, I really like classic literature and behavioral economics. But I would say my favorite is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Or Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled to over 40 countries by the age of 21. Slept in the Sahara desert under the Milky Way. Swam in the Dead Sea. Walked the entirety of the rose red city Petra. And it's only the beginning.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Teach, learn, share" is exactly what I think Couchsurfing was created for. It's amazing to be able to share stories, teach each other new things about the world and about life, to see how we are different and (most of the time) very similar, despite where we come from or what language we speak.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to tell and to listen to stories of other peoples' travels and adventures, because it's an incredible way to learn about different cultures, countries, and lives different from my own. I would love to share my company, because there is no better word than "together" :)
