Overview
About Me
woman from the American South. Former Au Pair. Current ex-pat. Met my Dutch partner, fell in love, and stayed here.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel. It gives me such a sense of adventure and self assuredness. I love to travel alone with a minimal plan and impress myself with how many new things I can see, the new people I can meet. It feels great. Couchsurfing is a great way to meet more people and hear more stories when I travel. Also, as a student, I need to save all the money I can for more adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books
Usually I listen to instrumental music during the day. I ease my homesickness with bluegrass music and the occassional country ballad :)
Currently I read teenage novels in the Dutch language.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Move across the world for love.
Teach, Learn, Share
I always love to learn a new and special recipe, a new ingredient, spice or technique.
Or Help me learn your language. I don't mind sounding like a complete fool. I'm used to it, and I the look on a person's face when I am able to say something to them in their native language.
I can teach you: English, Dutch, all about trees and flowers, and I'm a pretty good needleworker if that's your thing.
I can share: my own couch in Rotterdam, NL and stories
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a laid back but friendly woman who is happy to spend an evening sharing joke and stories. I love to chat, but I don't need to be babysat. I can entertain myself if you are busy.
Countries I’ve Visited
