About Me

Not sure why my profile says 37, I'm actually 28 years old. I was born in the city and grew up in the country. I have a big family. I love to make things (anything useful really). People are the most important part of my life and my real wealth. I love fancy words, and listening to people speak in their mother tongue (other than english) is like music to my ears. I went to art school for 8 years. I write poetry in my head, but I usually forget it before I can write it down. I'm a musician. Kindness is important to me and I try to do the best I can. I love adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great way to meet people, which is one of the best things about travel! And locals always have the inside information about the best things to do in town.

Interests

Delicious food and drink, music, dancing (square-dance, salsa, tango, booty dancing, contra dancing, you name it [do you know kizomba? I really want to learn how...]), making things, learning about other ways of seeing and being in the world, friendship, sharing, motorcycles, laughing, bicycles, gardens, walking, learning how to love more often and with a more open heart, running, seeing beautiful places, farming, art, health, science, swimming, sunshine....

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read, I always have a book with me. I'm not too picky, really. Some recent and lasting favorites are Tolkien, George Eliot (especially Middlemarch), Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, anything by Louise Erdrich, Mary Oliver, Gerald Durell...Recommend something to me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One summer I traveled with a circus. I rode the unicycle and juggled in the parades.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn your language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to swap stories and play music with new folks. Fiddle music! I'll play for you if you'd like, and show you how I do what I do. I'm excited to make food with people and learn about where you live and why you live there.

Countries I’ve Visited
