About Me

CURRENT MISSION

southeast asia!

ABOUT ME

i love to learn (=i am a dork). to me this is why i love meeting people, traveling, doing new things: it's adventure and it's learning, other cultures, thinking about things differently, seeing new sights and enjoying nature.

i also love teaching. i'll be starting at Humboldt State University (northern California) in the Fall. very excited. I spent a year and a half in Vancouver, BC on a postdoc that taught me a lot about Canadianism and why I'm more happy as a californian :).

PHILOSOPHY

life is pretty amazing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

good friends of mine are CS'ers, and I have always shared a common passion with them and others in traveling and exploration.

so far it's been great, just when i figure i don't know anyone in this country or at this concert, i turn to this fabulous community. still getting the hang of it but i really like meeting new people and this network makes that almost too easy!

Interests

i like camping, road trips that get you there, biking, running, snowboarding, ..pretty much any active sport that's combined with scenic nature.

wine and beer (just started brewing my own these days), boardgames are totally underrated fun time, and reading when i have time.

also enjoy cooking, coffee, and breakfast pretty much always.
