I'm a student from the UK obsessed with travel - even my choice of degree (marine biology) was sparked by my adventures in Australia, a country I'm desperate to move to! My ultimate goal is to see every country on the planet, which may be too ambitious but I'll be giving it my best shot.

I love all the normal studenty-stuff like music/parties/bars but am just as happy with a quiet night-in and a movie. During the day I'm more active and love hiking and camping - especially in the mountains. I also play on ice and inline hockey teams (terribly, but it's fun!) but my favourite sport by far is AFL (Aussie rules). Annoyingly it's not the biggest sport in Southern England though so I very rarely get to actually play it.

My biggest passion in life is travel and being a largely solo traveller, meeting new people is a very important part of that. I've had great fun in youth hostels meeting people from all around the world but I think couchsurfing is the best way to meet "real locals" and experience the city most tourists won't see.
