Overview
About Me
20-year-old Archaeology student from the beautiful Isle of Man, living in Newcastle upon Tyne. I love to cook and am training part-time as a chef, and have been a bartender/waiter for a few years now.
I just finished a semester abroad in Istanbul (the most beautiful city in the world) and now I'm looking to see more of the world.
I love meeting new people and learning about their cultures/countries, as well as learning about languages and national/local foods.
I speak basic Turkish and even more Basic French, but I would really love to learn some Italian!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently travelling around Italy with my girlfriend (Australian) and we don't have a lot of money. We do both love to cook though - I'm a chef and both of her parents are chefs (so she's a better cook than me) - so we can pay you in delicious food!

Music, Movies, and Books
60s/70s Rock and Blues - Zeppelin, Hendrix, BB King, Clapton, Thin Lizzy - but also British indie like Wolf Alice, Foals and Slaves. And of course you can't forget David Bowie!
Favorite Movie is 'The Boat That Rocked'- it has the best sound track!
Favorite book is Island by Aldous Huxley or Brave New World - anything by Huxley really!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved to Istanbul for a semester - It was a big moment for me and a difficult time, but it taught me to go outside of my comfort zone and meet new people, try new things, and learn more about the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn some Italian and about Italian food - I love learning about other people's cultures and local food culture is very special to me since where I am from has a very strong food culture! I'm also fascinated by languages.
I can hopefully teach you to cook some things, I love teaching about Ancient History and Archaeology (I want to be an archaeology professor), so if you live in a city with Greek/Roman/Byzantine archaeology, I can tell you what it all means!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking skills - both my girlfriend and I are pretty good cooks.
English language help
Ancient History and Archaeology knowledge - perfect for cities with an ancient Greek, Roman or Byzantine history.
