About Me
Scottish! Born and bred!
I'm an easy going guy who is currently working here in the Capital of the Dominican Republic. It's an incredible place to live and super exciting because the people here are absolutely full of life.
I'm currently working as a Brand Ambassador for Chivas Regal, the whisky. It's a great job to have as it means I go to lots of events and meet a huge amount of new people...but...I still miss the odd adventure to the beach, done on a budget. Sometimes I look around and I'm surrounded by people obsessed with work and with money, and I'm very aware that there is a lot more to life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because there's no better way to spend your weekends getting to know new people and hearing an original story. Travelling is exciting. Especially when you're in a new place. I love that feeling and being part of it. It's always a privilege to meet well rounded, polite travellers who are just looking for their next adventure.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love watching movies. Especially some of the early 2000s cheesers. Favourites include A Knight's Tale (to be honest, anything with Heath Ledger as he was a hero), LiarLiar, Old Skool, Wedding Crashers.
Music wise, I will listen to anything and everything. I'm very mood dependent so I like to have a playlist for chilling out or getting ready to go out. I went to my first festival in Spain last summer and that changed my view on what is good and what isn't, I feel a lot more open minded nowadays!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I carried the Olympic Torch back in 2012. It was my proudest moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about Scotland, languages, a little bit of history here and there, I used to coach lots of Fencing and Basketball but those days are long gone now I'm a working man! I know my way around a bottle of whisky too, but honestly, who doesn't?
Learning, I like a bit of everything. A crash course in languages is always fun - learn how to start a conversation and then, of course, learn how to swear.
