About Me

If I fill this all in then there would be nothing new to learn about me!

I like to think that I am a pretty funny guy - I've been known to laugh at my own jokes for certain. I've spent far too much time studying to do a lot of stupid things that I do. I've often been told I am pretty typically English; but I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. You can often find me playing or watching sports - or more likely these days discussing politics or international relations which are close to my studies and interests.

I've only currently travelled in Europe - but have lived in England, Wales and Germany currently. Beyond this, I've been to Denmark, Sweden, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Vatican State (sure that counts), Greece, Poland, Czech Republic and Romania. I plan to see a bit more this summer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love the idea - I have done it with friends many times - why not meet new people on my travels too?

Interests

I am pretty sporty; I love to play football, cricket, snooker etc. I have been known to play a bit of tennis and rugby here and there.

I used to play a lot of video games when I was younger, but I don't have so much time now. I spend a lot more time hopefully doing cultural things and travelling as well as reading and studying - pretty passionate about politics!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:

I like a strange variety of music, from 60's funk to 00's UK grime. Depending on my mood I may be listening to terrible 90's club music or Barry White.

Movies:

I love fight club - such a great film. Also snatch is another great film but I don't particularly like Brad Pitt.

Books:

Harry Potter was great growing up. Tony Benn got me into politics and his diaries are quite interesting - 1984 also ressonates.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I onced saved my sisters life when she was drowning - she essentially used me as a float almost killing me in the process.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I am an English teacher and have also taught a bit at University - I speak sarcasm pretty fluently and willing to trade this knowledge to improve my German.
