About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To ease the suffering of others whenever possible.

ABOUT ME

I love to make music and play with sound. I love art and photography and film. I like to read all sorts of non-fiction and fiction, but mostly stuff that helps me learn. I love all kinds of people and I will try just about any kind of food once. I love to experience new things and have a very open mind.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to follow the teachings of the Buddha, Jesus, and all the good men that have come before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted once, and haven't had an opportunity to do it sense. Have yet to stay with anyone but am looking forward to it!

Interests

Harmonics, acoustics, animals, kayaking, film, learning how to play musical instruments (I play accordion, melodica, organ, drums, and do extensive work on the computer). Good conversation. Video games (I don't play them as much as I used to)

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by Kubrick, Scorcese, Orson Welles, Cronenberg (Videodrome, Shivers, Crash), Ingmar Bergman movies (Winter Light, Through a glass darkly), Alfred Hitchcock (I love Rope and Vertigo).
Stereolab, Dead Can Dance, Can, Wire, Augustus Pablo, Captain Beefheart, Brian Eno, Cocteau Twins, Harold Budd, Mazzy Star, Radiohead, Miles Davis, Mingus, Ornette Coleman, Etta James, Butthole Surfers, a little bit of everything under the sun.
Confederacy of Dunces by O'Toole, Tibetan Book of the Dead, Be Here Now by Baba Ram Daas, Selby, but I generally like nonfiction more than I like fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two people getting married in a sunset on the beach, A handicapped man in a wheelchair across the street from partying well to do people, watching the sun rise from a 30 story building. Amazing things are everywhere. Maybe I am easily amazed, or maybe I just pay attention.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Jamaica, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
