Overview
About Me
I am a Physics and Maths teacher living in Liverpool, UK with a love for life and a keen interest in hiking and the outdoors. Luckily for me, my career allows me plenty of time to explore! I'm eager to travel further afield, and am looking forward to seeing more of the world this summer break.
I've recently taken up bouldering (rock climbing but without the ropes!) as a way to conquer my fear of heights, and am absolutely loving it! I would love it if you could show me any local climbing spots (indoor or outdoor) , and if you want to join me then that's even better. If you've not climbed before, I'm happy to help you get started.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am hoping to meet like-minded people as I travel and as I host people here in Liverpool. I'd love to help you experience the city as a local, and hopefully you can help me do the same.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Observed the Transit of Venus (when Venus eclipses part of the Sun) from the summit of Mauna Kea in Hawaii! Two friends and I also got the chance to meet the NASA team working in their observatory up there as we did. This incredible experience won't happen again in my lifetime, the next one is in 2117, so I'm absolutely thrilled that I had the chance to travel halfway across the world to witness this and learn about Polynesian culture at the same time!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, good conversation and hopefully a beer! If there's anything you'd like to know about space, my degree was in astrophysics so I'd be very happy to chat.
