About Me

Brand new to Couchsurfing!

Throughout my life so far I have had a passion for travelling.
I am a musician by discipline, and love to record, listen and experience music from all across the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be commencing my first 'real' travelling experience with my friend Jake on the 3rd of September. We will be beginning in Warsaw, Poland, and finishing up in Holland. We will be on a bit of a tight budget, and we love the idea of the community behind Couchsurfing. Not only would we be hugely appreciative of accomodation from already active members, but would be more than happy to give back to the community, by hosting in Leicester UK as of October.

Through Couchsurfing, I hope to meet new people from many walks of life, immerse myself in the culture of new countries, and help contribute to what seems to be an ever-growingly beautiful community.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my biggest passion in life - I have studied it since a very young age!
I listen to and create all kinds of music... electronic, experimental, hip-hop, ambient, pop, metal, world... you name it, I'm probably interested in it!

On my travels, I hope to collect a series of recordings from different towns, and create some electro-acoustic compositions composed from these collections.

I'm a bit of a book worm! I love authors who write with an experimental approach, particularly Philip K. Dick! My favourite ever book has to be House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. And I am currently reading The Secret History by Donna Hartt.

I'm perhaps less familiar with films. I love movies created by the Coen Brothers and David Lynch. Generally weird and wonderful films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing trip which gave birth to my love for travel was a trip to the Rocky Mountains with my Scouts troop, when I was just 14. We travelled for 3 weeks, where we got to experience wild-camping, mountain biking, kayaking, white water rafting, and many other fantastic experiences. It took me completely out of my comfort zone in the best possible way. No other 'sun-bathing by the swimming pool' holiday ever seemed to cut it after that !!
