Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to Couchsurfing by my flat mate (Michal) who travels a lot. Listening to his experiences and the number of friends he has made through it encouraged me to join in!
I have hosted a few people and want to make more use of the site although it is difficult due to my studies, but hopefully in my time off that will change!
I really enjoy travelling and meeting people so this is the perfect combination.

Interests

My big interest is sport, namely Rugby, Gaelic football, Soccer and a bit of tennis - I like to be fit, healthy and active.
My other interests are music, I enjoy discovering different artists and types of music. I play a bit of guitar (not very well I must admit) and singing along.
I enjoy learning new things, on any topic. To educate yourself and wanting to learn I believe is a great thing . Meeting new, interesting people is important for me also.
I love animals as well, especially dogs.

I should probably read more than I am at the minute and need to watch some of the 'classic' movies.
I can listen to many types of music and enjoy them. Depending on my mood I like Rock n roll or if I'm relaxing some chilled. I've always loved traditional Irish Music (The Dubliners etc.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my first time hitch hiking (to Lake Como) my first lift was with famous professional footballer 'Dani Osvaldo'. Many people didn't believe us but we made sure to get photographic evidence with him!
Driving tour around Ireland for 2 weeks in my VW polo with my best friends - a great time (the only time there's been two consecutive sunny weeks in Ireland probably!)

Rugby tour along the East Coast of Australia in 2011 was a fantastic experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always happy to tell people about my culture and learn about theirs. I'm happy to show people my favourite music/films/books etc.
I like to hear people ideas/views and be educated, while offering up my own opinion.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Like I said, I can share my music, ideas, culture and hopefully some 'craic' (Irish slang word for fun - not the drug!) with hosts. I can teach them the rules of Gaelic football, an Irish sport!
