Overview
About Me
Huh, well, what can I tell about myself... I'm a big music fan, and I work for a small independent music news site, conducting interviews with bands from all around the world when they come to Switzerland. I do the occasional album review as well, though not as many as I'd like to. I'm studying media and social sciences in Basel. I still live at my parents place, so I sadly cannot host other people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Unlike a lot of people I am mostly using Couchsurfing for traveling inside my own country. But that way you will see your country in a new light, especially one that is as linguistically diverse as Switzerland. Just travel for half an hour and the local dialect is already wildly different. I know it probably puts some people off that I'm using CS within my own country but I'd rather stay at a real persons place than just go to a hostel. There's always something you can learn about the place you're at, whether it is on the other side of the world, or just an hour away from home, and that's not something you get at a hostel.
Interests
Music (obviously), gaming, a good book, discovering new places. I love speaking and writing in English. Being a media student I've got an interest in media and it's inner workings, web culture in particular is fascinating to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: A lot of underground/experimental metal and rock music, some folk and singer/songwriter stuff as well. From Helena Deland to Dragged into Sunlight, and everything inbetween.
Movies: A variety of genres. I'm really fond of Quentin Tarantinos movies, and have a big soft spot for animated films too.
Books: I'm very partial to science fiction (especially of the post-apocalyptic sort) and fantasy literature. I'm currently reading Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy (my favorite author).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not the most amazing thing to most people but I got to interview the frontman of my favorite band, which has meant a lot to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
