About Me
Dear Couchsurfers!
My Name is Calvin (23) from Switzerland and I am looking for a nice soul in Uruguay to have a good time!
This year I had my first experiences with Couchsurfing and I love it! It is such a beautiful way to get in contact with locals as well get in contact with other cultures. As well as back in my hometown I am used to sleep many times on couches and the couch and me became good friends :)
A short review about me. I did an economy school and worked in an office, but I recognized that's not the way I want to spend the next years. So I quite my job and went to Southeast Asia for couple of months. In this time I learned pretty much about myself and the life in general, that I decided to travel for longer, to learn even more :)
I came back to Switzerland to work and I travelled a little bit around the Westcoast of Europe, but there was always this inner desire to go far away for longer time.
I started to looking for opportunities to make this possible and a friend of mine told me about this website. As I realized, that I already do this since a year, without using coushsurfing, I knew that I want to join this community and be a part of it.
So here I am right now, excited to meet you :D

Music, Movies, and Books
Every music style got something unique, so i like probably all kind of musik. At the moment I get more and more in touch with the music from South America like Flamenco or the band Newen Afrobeat (very nice music). Funk, Hip Hop or Jazz is all welcomed!
A book that I really recommend is "Überleben in der Wüste Danakil" (german version). It is about a guy, who travels with friends through the Danakil desert and tells about his experiences.
Movies I like: Léon, The Professional, probably every movie from Cristopher Nolan or Quentin Tarantino, good documentries and more...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ride a bycicle with my dislocated shoulder and searching for a hospital in Vietnam.
