CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
I'm not yet fully alive. The older I get the more I feel that there is so much out there to explore. I envy those who came to this realisation at a younger age but whoever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks was wrong! The world has become even more open to me now and I look forward to the new experiences it can offer.
PHILOSOPHY
Can't say I have one yet, I'm a little lost in this world. My outlook keeps changing with new influences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Try to help people see things and enjoy their time travelling.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has led to me meeting some great people that I am proud to call my friends. It is a shame that the time spent meeting these people is often so brief but one thing I have learnt is that the world is much smaller for the traveller and you find ways of meeting people again.
Interests
Outdoors: hiking, surfing, bodyboarding, running, swimming, mountain bike riding, river tracing. Basically if it is outdoors, active, and a little dangerous I'm keen to give it a try.
Indoors: gaming, technology, reading, movies.
Animals: All except cats, just can't find a soft spot for them. Having said that, I would never harm one. I find it hard enough to harm flies.

Music, Movies, and Books
MOVIES: I love a wide range of movies but I'm also pretty keen on the better Japanese and Korean movies, with some of my all time favourites being from those countries.
MUSIC: Really loving Van She lately. They are an Australian group. Do yourself a favour and check out songs like Jamaica, Idea of Happiness, Changes, Kelly, etc
Otherwise pretty much the music you'll find on the Australian youth radio station Triple J fits well with my tastes. http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/
BOOKS: I love reading non-fiction books where I can learn something new but the fiction series A Song of Fire and Ice has sucked me in thanks to Game of Thrones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Participated, possibly the first time for a Caucasian (according to friends), in a festival in rural Japan that is invite only and requires the carrying of a 2 ton burning tree over our heads for 3 km into town. It was a great experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach me languages. Teach me about ways to enjoy life more.
I'll teach you anything I know that you desire to learn about =)
