Hi! My name is Cam and I’m only just beginning my travel journies. I’m 25 and I love to travel! I see it as a great privilege of mine to be able to fly off to far away countries where I can take in new sights, do new things, and meet some wonderful people.

I am currently in school for Child and Youth Care as I have a passion for working with kids and teenagers. I see it as a great honour to be able to interact with with those so young and offer my support wherever and whenever desired. I hope I can be a positive role model to those I work with and be a person they can come to trust and appreciate. I am an avid adventurer! Camping, canoeing, hiking, cycling, running and walking - I cannot a imagine a life without such pleasure. If you are an active human, let’s experience nature together :)

I am a big animal lover - a dog named Ruby that I love to bits! She’s filled my life with so much love and joy and laughter - without her I wouldn’t be the person I am now. I have also volunteered at animal shelters in the past; so, if you have a furry companion I would love to meet them!

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow it’s a little overwhelming to list music, movies and books but I’ll just say I love all three! Movies have become a recent passion for me - I love classic Hollywood movies and romance/romcoms! Some of my favourite movies include Moonrise Kingdom, Casablanca, Isle of Dogs, Howl's Moving Castle, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and Portrait of a Lady on Fire. If you see any movies you've watched, let me know so we can discuss. And if you have any recommendations they would be very welcomed!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have lived a colourful life and would like to share my experience with those who interested in hearing them. Through actions and conversations I would like to educate other on topics such as:

- trauma and how to support those who experience it in their lives

- the importance and impact of social services for marginalized communities and individuals

- the disastrous effects of humans’ carbon footprint and how to reduce it

- and most importantly gratitude. Too often I believe we focus on what we lack instead of celebrating our opportunities and blessings.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am passionate cook and baker. I would love to share what foods make me feel at home with you and teach you how to make them too! Or cook with you and learn from one another in the kitchen!

I have been told that I have a wacky and fun personality. So if you too have a weird mind I can guarantee you we will be up for hours laughing and coming up with outrageous ideas together!
