Hello! My names Cameron but I normally go by Cammy. I'm 23 years old and currently living in Melbourne. I am a chef by trade but love to play music also. I have traveled a lot with my profession but have never forgotten my passion for music and play constantly. For me, these are the three most important aspects of life; music, food, travel. Holding this so close to my heart I have met so many beautiful people and hope to continue on this experience. I am currently traveling with one Italian friend and we are looking for somewhere not only to sleep but also to share our stories with many others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to share with others all the amazing things I have seen. To perhaps broaden the horizons of new travelers and learn from those more experienced than I. Life is about meeting others and sharing. Making connections that many others would deem improbable. As cliché as it sounds we have but one opportunity to do everything that we set out and are wholly capable of achieving.

Interests

I play guitar and also like to sing. Mostly folk and blues to alternative styles. I love to busk and share music with others, the people you meet through this is just incredible. So many like minded travelers come forward and lose themselves in that moment. They forget their inhibitions and come together, realizing something more about themselves.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Bon Iver, I think Justin Vernon is a genius. In addition, I listen to a lot of Scottish modern folk rock bands such as Frightened Rabbit and We Were Promised Jet Packs. I read often. I have recently finished a few crime novels by Stuart McBride and also the more poignant "Of Mice and Men". Favorite films would have to be anything by Quentin Tarantino.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving from the rocks into the icy cold pools in the Gorges of Karijini National Park. Getting lost just roaming around these places was phenomenal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to talk about food so anything I can share within my knowledge would be a pleasure. I would like to learn more foreign languages. I think I can share a few songs on the guitar, good company and a decent feed!
