About Me

Friendly and easygoing Canadian currently living in Vancouver. As I have a few months off between jobs, I've decided to ride my bike across Europe from the Netherlands to Turkey (or as far as I can make it). Along the way, I'm hoping to make new friends and see some cool, off the beaten path places. If you can't host, I'd love to meet up for a coffee or drink, or visit somewhere interesting together :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from different backgrounds and see the places where they live from their perspective.

Interests

Generally, I'm a curious person and I love learning about the world. I love to travel and have been lucky enough to visit a lot of beautiful places in Europe, Asia and Central America over the past 10 years. My main hobbies are outdoor activities - things like hiking, biking, trail running, skiing and swimming in the ocean. I'm a big music fan and I love going to shows and playing guitar when I get a chance. Otherwise, I like to go out for drinks and play games with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
I have pretty diverse taste in music, but the genres that I listen to the most these days are electronic (house/techno/drum and bass), indie rock and hip-hop.

MOVIES
A couple of my favourite movies from the past few years are Parasite and Blade Runner 2049.

BOOKS
I don't read for fun as much as I'd like to (mostly work-related), but I try to get through a book at least every few months. My favourite books that I've read in the past couple of years are The White Tiger, Ghost Wars and Catch-22.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekked for 19 days through the Himalayan foothills to Everest Base Camp.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can buy you a drink or a coffee and share some stories and experiences. I'm also pretty good at cooking (I think). I'm also moving to San Francisco in 2022, so if if you ever visit I'm happy to host!
