About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world while fostering environmental stewardship and sustainability

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Cambodia for 12 years. I was fortunate that my parents value experiences over material items, and while i didn't always agree with them at the time, I am truly blessed to have seen as much of the world as I have.
I enjoy rock climbing, racket ball, soccer(or football), SCUBA diving, and baseball.
I am a fun loving guy who loves to meet new people and travel.

Growing up in Cambodia, I have had the privilage to have travelled to many different countries. I was lucky to have parents who valued experiences over material items. It is this which has urged me to travel and continue to travel for my entire life.

I am an avid environmentalist, the solutions to many of our most serious environmental issues are within reach. We simply need to rethink about the way we use energy in our lives. Small changes can make very, very, large impacts. I specifically focus in Soil Science and Hydrology as those are my specialties but am also interested in Sustainability, Organic Farming, and International Relations.

My philosophy in life is to live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment of it. Face the ups, and downs, the highs, and the lows. In the end you'll be better person because of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just moved to American Samoa to work with the Natural Resources Conservation Service. This island is beautiful and accommodations, expensive so please let me know if you would like a place to stay.

The concept of CS is truly revolutionary. I have been fortunate to have traveled to many places, and firmly believe that you have not truly traveled to a place until you have interacted on a deeper level with the local people. If the human race is going to expand beyond our borders of land and thought, then we need to be able to interact, share experiences, and most of all learn from one another.

Interests

I love mini adventures, camping, hiking, snorkelling, diving. Pretty much anything outside is fine by me! I work when i have to, play when i can!

I also like Solera, Billy Joel, Doobie Brothers, Autopilot Off, Hoobastank, Linkin Park, and many others.
However, I am a complete all-round music lover so pretty much anything goes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess i chalk it up to my parents who instead of listening to my insistence as a kid that i have latest electronics chose instead to take me to different places in the world. I'm truly blessed.
Cursed parents always dragging my around the world. :)
