Overview
About Me
I live in Williston, Vermont in a tiny house that I built with my husband, Scott. I came to Vermont for college and haven't left. I now work at the University of Vermont in the Office of Sustainability. I'm also a graduate student studying Leadership for Sustainability. My husband and I like all of the outdoor activities Vermont has to offer, mostly skiing and mountain biking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first couchsurfed in Europe (Istanbul, Prague and Athens) after my study abroad in India in 2010. Once I had an apartment of my own, I was excited to give back to the CS community and did a little bit of hosting. It was a creat experience but then we moved into our tiny house and don't have any room to spare!
Now I'm embarking on a solo cross-country train trip from VT to CA and looking for a few places to stay along the way.
Interests
I do a lot of biking in the summer and skiing in the winter. Yoga fills the gaps! I work professionally in the sustainability field but it is a big part of my personal life as well, hence my choice of train travel for this cross country trip.

Music, Movies, and Books
Gotta have lyrics. Jam bands need not apply. I'm a big podcaster and less of a reader -- unless audio books count ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've donated my hair to Locks for Love 3 times.
Teach, Learn, Share
Lifelong learner. I'll share my 'recipe' for a kick ass hot chocolate. I'll teach you how to braid, make a friendship bracelet or properly sort your recyclables.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I always hope I can treat my hosts to a good meal!
