ABOUT ME

I grew up amongst the lush coniferous forests of the Pacific Northwest, where I developed a deep appreciation for nature and a love for hobbies associated with it. This led me to pursue a degree in Environmental Science with the plan to someday hold a career in conservation. Since graduation I've bounced around different internships and seasonal jobs which fits my lifestyle just fine. From caring for sheltered tigers and lynx, to trudging through dense rainforest at night surveying birds, to hands-on desert restoration around beautiful oases, my job experiences have closely mimicked my adventurous and restless spirit. I love to travel, get bored with monotonous work, and jump at any opportunity to meet new people, try new things, and go new places!

PHILOSOPHY

You only get one shot at life, so why refrain from any of its experiences? Keep an open mind and judge none.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted lots of couch surfers while living with Sven Gasser in Palm Springs, California. Sven is basically the Jedi master of couch surfing. Sadly, I didn't really keep my profile up back then to add all those awesome people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some of my favorites are Empire of the Sun, Neon Indian, Radiohead, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Daft Punk, Chromeo, Nirvana, Grateful Dead, Parliament/Funkadelic, The Beatles, James Brown, The Doors, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, Above & Beyond, Bassnectar, Deadmau5, Dash Berlin, and Armin van Buuren. Love naturalist writing, as well as Ken Kesey and anything from the beatnik/hippie counterculture movements.
