About Me
Well, for one thing, I find it slightly awkward to fill this out, because it's odd to describe myself!
But I will give it a shot.
I am a fourth year student at University of California, Berkeley, which is in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. I major in Philosophy, which is a subject I find extremely interesting, and if you met me, you would know why.
I enjoy asking deeper questions about life, learning as much as I can, sharing what I know, and hearing what other people think. I especially like hearing what other people think, because its an opportunity to see the world in an entirely different way. That's priceless.
I grew up in Southern California, 10 minutes away from the beach, and I have loved traveling since I was a boy. However, growing up, I didn't have the money to go into the world, so instead, I chose to read books and see the world in that way. Now that I'm older, I still read a lot, but I get to travel to!
When I visit a country, the most important thing to me is getting a feel for what life is like, creating new and memorable experiences, and trying to get outside my comfort zone. I am a social person, I love to talk and meet people, so with me, there's never any shortage of conversation.
Also, I am very friendly, I always do my best to be as polite and courteous as I possibly can be, and I do my best to always be aware of how others are feeling. If you would accept me as your host, I promise to be as gracious as possible, and to show my appreciation in any way possible.
It's a wonderful thing, that in this day and age, we can meet people from all across the globe, and all different walks of life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I often desire traveling places that I probably can't afford, but with Couchsurfing, it is made possible!
As a student, I don't have the most money, but I do have a ton of enthusiasm and a very open mind. I can sleep literally anywhere! I am not picky in the slightest, and I don't have many needs. The chance to meet new people and save money is worth more than any comfort to me, and I would rather stay on someone's couch through Couchsurfing than stay in a hotel, even if I could afford it.
The comforts of hotels and such are better saved for later in life! For now, I am young :)

I love music, I'm the kind of person who feels physical happiness when I hear a song I really like.
Music Genres: Electronic Music (Future Bass, House, Dance, Chillstep), Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Instrumental, Classical, K-POP, British Rap.
I like a lot of different types of music, I can listen to British rap one second while listening to K-pop the next.

I really enjoy sharing music, so feel free to show me your favorite music, I'll show you mine~~
Movies: Lost in Translation (hence my obsession with Tokyo), Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Ex Machina, Inception, The Usual Suspects, Her, Money Ball, The Wolf of Wall Street, (500) Days of Summer, Crazy Stupid Love.
I'm into "thinking" movies or love movies more than action movies.
Books@!!!!! Reading is my thing. I've read all my life. If you like to read, then we will get along so well, I can go on and on about books for hours. And I will probably have books with me wherever I go!
Favorite Authors: Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Haruki Murakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, J.D. Salinger.
Favorite Books: Norwegian Wood, A Tale for the Time Being, A Farewell to Arms, The Great Gatsby, The Sun Also Rises, The Bell Jar, The Little Prince.
I could go on and on haha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share stories from travels, I've got a lot of fun ones, and I love to share. I can teach English (I'm a really good teacher), tell you about philosophy or books that I've read, share what I know, etc.
I've really been into space recently, so I can tell you all about the stuff I've been learning.
Lastly, if you ever want to travel to California, I can give you a really great traveling guide that tells you all the places to see and things to do, from personal experience, and maybe if I'm at school at the time, you can stay at my place!
