About Me

Helloooo!

I’m Cam Cooney, an Australia Meditation Teacher & Movember Ambassador.

I currently live in Glasgow where I have my successful business - running a meditation studio, teaching people how to meditate, runnings retreats, and corporates around the UK.

Being an Ambassador for Movember, every year I do a massive challenge to push myself further.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Every year I do a MASSIVE Challenge for Movember, as an Ambassador to raise awareness and change the face of mens health.

On November 11th - I’ll be taking my movember 2024 challenge to EUROPE 👀

I'll be going from Berlin to Glasgow in 14 days….

RELYING PURELY ON STRANGERS HELP 😮‍💨

That’s Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, England, and Scotland I need helping travelling through 👀

CHALLENGE RULES - I WON’T be able to buy myself:

- Any form of travel

- Any accommodation
- Each stranger can only help me with 60 miles of travel at a time
- Challenge needs to be completed within 14 days

That’s right…. I’m relying purely on strangers in foreign countries to support me with accomodation & travel and they can only help me with 60 miles of travel…

THAT'S WHERE I NEED YOUR HELP!

WHY 60 miles & WHY Berlin?!

60 men take their life around the world every hour, every day - that’s 1440 everyday (the same distance from my house to Berlin) YET we’re so so so supported.

Why are so many men taking their own life? Because we struggle to reach out & ask for help when we’re struggling; we feel like we’re a burden, that nobody will help, it’s a lost cause, etc…

This couldn’t be further from the truth though!

Reaching out may be the hardest thing to do but we’re so incredibly supported! Family, friends, and even strangers are there to help when we ask.

By taking on the challenge MO-END last year going from the bottom of the UK to the top in the same challenge, I showed that the power of asking for help to complete strangers can take you from the bottom to the top again!

This year, I want to prove that even going into foreign countries, where English isn’t naturally spoken, there are still people there to help 💚

THIS IS MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE TO DATE and it would be amazing to link up with someone from here!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Check out my instagram - @camcooneymeditation where you'll find all the crazy & cool things I've done in the last 10 years of travelling...

I've completed mannnnnny cool challenges for charity and won awards for a few of them, created documentaries, and pushed some of the most extreme boundaries for charity challenges.

Some of them are:

Sleeping Rough; slept on the winter streets without a phone or wallet for 5 nights, created a documentary along the way and raised enough money to feed 780 homeless meals! Picked up by BBC and many news outlets!

60 Hour Blindfolded Meditation; it's in the name! I won an award for this one and was in 171 different new medias around the world.

MO-END; from the most southern point of the UK to the most Northern, relying purely on strangers help! this one was the most heart warming and fulfilling - check out my instagram for more on that one as I'm taking it bigger this year.

4 Months of 15 Hours Meditation A Day; during my 3 years of intensive training to become a meditation teacher, I spent fifteen hours a day for four months, meditating.

Plus many, many, more cool stuff!

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach meditation at my studio and have thousands of students worldwide 🧘🏽‍♂️
