Overview
About Me
I grew up in a small community in Nova Scotia, Canada. In a way, I am very Canadian. I love hockey, skiing, the environment, poutine, maple syrup, and speak both English and French.
However, when I am not busy working in accounting I enjoy learning about other cultures and histories. Spent last year backpacking 7 countries in South east Asia over 17 weeks. Now living in Vancouver Canada enjoying the mountains!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Over the course of my travels I am writing a blog focusing on financial freedom and travel. I am documenting my own travel experiences to show that how affordable it can be to see the world. Couch surfing is a great tool to meet knowledgeable locals and maximize my enjoyment of each new adventure! No ones an area better than a local.
Interests
One of my passions is working towards a more sustainable community and environment. I worked on a permaculture farm in northern Thailand for ten days learning from an indigenous Lewa and a herbalist monk. I am planning to build my own tiny house that is totally off grid and reduces my carbon footprint. It will also enable me to travel freely in the future.

Teach, Learn, Share
I am currently learning Japanese very casually and planning on taking my teaching TESOL certificate in the spring for English and French. I enjoy languages and the curious puzzle of verbal communication.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully, I can supply a polite and curdious conversation and tell some great stories from my recent adventures travelling across Canada and South Asia. I enjoy sharing my life stories, despite my young age I have many stories to share of romance, scandals, loss, hope, adventure and more.
