About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a down-to-Earth guy, a realist most of the time, who enjoys good friends and drinks. I consider myself ambitious and very independent. This summer has marked the end of my studying, having completed a Master's degree in Corporate and Financial Management at Lund University, Sweden.

I really appreciate the views of people from all over the world- it helps me put things into perspective. I'm a 25-year-old finance grad from Canada (near Toronto), and consider myself reliable above all else. You can count on me to do something if I give you my word.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having just completed my Master's degree in Sweden, I've been offered a job in London's financial district, beginning mid- September 2015. I've got dual citizenship (Canada/UK) so living and working there is no problem. Searching for suitable accommodation in London however, can be a chore. While visiting potential flats to move into, I'm looking to save some money and meet people in the city. Won't be couch surfing for more than 15 days total.

Interests

People compare me to a sponge because I love to soak up information from all over- magazines, internet, newspapers, novels.. you name it. I'm always trying to improve in whatever I do, and learn lots along the way.

Sports are one of my passions. I've been involved in competitive Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, Cross-country running, and Swimming at various points in my life. Soccer (football) is my favourite sport. I like to watch and play it, and also like the business side of the sport (transfers, team financials etc.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A life-changing 10 days spent in a Vipassana meditation centre in Burma. 10 hours of daily meditation without speaking, reading, or writing to anyone, beginning at 4am each morning. Oh- and no eating after 12 noon.. a challenge for any 2-metre-tall person like myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love the idea of performance optimization and incorporating things like the 80/20 principle and MED (minimum effective dose) into daily routines to become more efficient. I'd love to show you how to save time in your day with some quick tricks!
