Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Host folks starting in June while I have a school break!
ABOUT ME
I am currently a grad student, generally stressed and busy. However, this summer I'm looking to get back into the hosting side of couchsurfing. I spent a year abroad in 2011-2012 in Italy and had wonderful experiences with it then.
PHILOSOPHY
Every person has a life perspective worth experiencing and understanding these perspectives helps refine our own. Leaving oneself open to experience allows for individual growth.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
During my stay in Florence, my flatmates hosted a few surfers, which originally got me interested in the site. I was able to surf in a few different places and am will be available to host starting June 2014. I also met up with surfers in Florence and showed them around my favorite locales there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have taken an almost 2 year hiatus now, but I was part of a hosting triad at my flat in Florence for a while and we had several guests then. I surfed a couple times in Sevilla and Krakow during my year abroad.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oof. Ok. I generally read a lot of non-fiction history stuff for my program, but when I have spare time I enjoy literature. American classics and "world" literature. Murakami is probably my favorite and I enjoy reading him when I can. As for music, well, Simon and Garfunkel radio on Pandora has been treating me well so lets leave it at that.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That year abroad was pretty interesting for me. I wouldn't say it's completely "amazing", but I sincerely enjoyed it. I read a lot so there's that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I wouldn't consider myself an expert in much anything, but I do like to cook and language exchange is always fun.
