About Me
ABOUT ME
How to describe yourself in a text box...
I am a dive instructor and a Marine Biologist, an adventure tour guide and a bartender. I have spent the better part of 4 years working and traveling around the world, meeting new people and adopting new ways of thought.
Love to play the guitar, write and take pictures, basically anything to make my mom proud.
It says to write "all about you" but then there are a bunch of sections below. So to avoid redundancy....
PHILOSOPHY
Meet as many people as I can, share stories and get inspired. Be outdoors as much as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just starting out, when I settle down somewhere, changing my couch status to "yes" will be the second thing I do, right after buying a chop-o-matic.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The few couch surfing experiences I have had have been amazing. I stand by my belief that only cool people use this site.
Interests
Will be easier to list the things I am not interested in:
I care very little about
- Paris Hilton's dog
- the weather (tornadoes, hurricanes, and epic storms are obvious exceptions)
- Scanners, I find them boring
- How many calories are in a big mac
- anything to do with teletubbies
- twilight- I just can't get into it
That being said, I love anything to do with the outdoors- Diving, Fishing, Rock Climbing, Skiing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Skydiving.. you name it, I'm there

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all sorts of music, and am not a music snob. It's your car, you can play anything you want!
I love movies, all movies. The only movie I have ever walked out on is Spiderman 3, and I think everyone can understand why. I own at 5 degrees of separation to Kevin
When I have the time, I enjoy reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There was a whale stranding in the Philippines, and I was working for the NGO that was called out. I have never been so inspired as I was that night, as I watched the tractor driver flawlessly bury the whale in the ground. It was as if the driver and the tractor were one in the same, the tractor arm an extension of his own. Every movement was precise, there were no mistakes. If that tractor driver was my father, I would have been so proud.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can juggle three objects moderately well.
I can play the guitar.
I can teach you the art of sarcasm.
I know successful techniques to train a Beluga Whale.
I want to learn how to play the fiddle, how to surf, how to cook, how to get through a twilight novel, and how to speak Spanish. And maybe some day I will learn how to ride a horse, and compete in a real polo match.
