About Me
Hello! My name is Cameron, I am 31 years old and I am a pretty easy-going guy from Adelaide. I've spent a decent while travelling and working in several hostels around the world, so travel-related stuff has made up a pretty big chunk of my life. I'm a musician and I love nothing more than a festive social night out.
I spent a lot of the past five years travelling on a bicycle - first in New Zealand for two months, after which I flew to Kazakhstan and cycled to the UK, and then a year cycling around Eastern Europe before finally coming back to London once again.
Sadly I haven't been able to host for a while due to my living situation in London, but the next time I have a space I can share, I'm super keen to get back into hosting like I did in Australia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting & surfing, cooking & cleaning, being independent & spending time with hosts/surfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed a bunch of couches throughout Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East and they've always been amazing, with people going to pretty ridiculous lengths to be hospitable. Back in Adelaide, my last house hosted many couch surfers through the housemates' various CS accounts and we loved having people around to share their time and experiences with us.
Interests
I spend a great deal of time making, listening to and needlessly obsessing over music; I waste a great deal of time making hideous puns; I prefer my travel to be fairly unplanned; I can whip up a stellar breakfast and a cracking dinner, and it gives me huge amounts of pleasure to cook a good meal for people; I am always keen to hear people's stories of travel, home life or just what makes their life interesting; I often learn small fragments of languages, which tends to lead to me being really impressive for a disappointingly short period of time.

Music, Movies, and Books
There's a bit too much to cover this one, so I'll do a "the last x that I y'd"...
The last movie I watched was Prisoners. I'm slowly trying to make my way through all of Denis Villeneuve's films because he's pretty amazing.
The last music I listened to (aside from some Italian opera drifting out of my housemate's room) was some At the Drive-In. But I don't always listen to such angry music!
The last book I read was Dune (speaking of Denis Villeneuve). Well, I'm still in the process of reading it actually. It's been on my 'to do' list for about ten years, so I'm glad I finally got to it. It's bloody great!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first moment I travelled overseas as an adult and was simply blown away by being in a world where people could communicate everything they should need, without me understanding a word.
Hopping onto my bicycle in Kazakhstan and slowly riding west to Europe was one adventure I'll surely not forget for a while.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach stringed instruments to anyone interested - in particular guitar, mandolin and ukulele.
I really love languages, so I'm very keen to speak English or French with anyone that needs practise, and I'll invariably try to learn a few words of any languages that you have to offer.
I cook, I clean, I generally try to be both a respectful surfer and host. I tell bad jokes and I tell good stories.
