ABOUT ME

My friends would call me a talker, a raconteur on good days and a rambler on bad. I'm interested in learning, writing and listening, and exploring these areas of curiosity, apprehension and comprehension. I love listening to voice, to stories, and to music--I love the blues in particular, but also rock n' roll, country, jazz & classical. I am an oral historian, writer and a guitarist, an occasional traveler, and always to some extent a student.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

1. A conversation in a quiet, rural bar in Belvedere, South Dakota. Stopped in for a bite, wound up making friends with the bartender and a few local ranchers, and had a conversation that cut through our political and personal differences and resulted in an exchange of experiences.
2. Wyoming in the rain, with lightning cutting through the half-lit sky, silver in the darker skies, almost golden in the lighter. Driving and sitting quietly in a car, and then stepping out and watching the storm go around us.
3. Wildflowers at 13,000 feet in rural Nevada
4. Conversations with old friends that broke new ground, and or meeting new friends and having a conversation that felt old and good and comfortable.
