About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To give birth to phoenixes.

ABOUT ME

My goal in life is to change the world. My life is about working with people in non-profits, political advocacy, and faith communities to create a more just and sustainable future.

I'm Executive Director of a nonprofit called Know Your City, and we provide civic and artistic empowerment programs, such as tours, lectures, publications, and youth programs that help build community and pride for historically marginalized people.

Spiritually, I'm a Universalist. I try to live a life full of compassion for people and living things. I'm an avid cyclist and eat a plant-focused diet.

I'm always ready with a smile on my face, and love having weird adventures.

MY QUIRKS

Portlanders are fanatics when it comes to their airport carpets. My #PDXcarpet picture was featured on the Rachel Maddow show in April 2015: http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/portland--good-weird--honors-old-carpet-422434883535

I ran for Mayor of Portland when I was 20 years old. (I lost.)

I have memorized and can sing over 160+ TV show theme songs.

I can recite the entire Quoth the Raven by Edgar Allen Poe.

My favorite karaoke song to perform is "What Does the Fox Say" by Ylvis.
