About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be the best multi-media techician Camfel Productions has ever had!

ABOUT ME

My name is Amanda, I am currently working for a company called Camfel Productions. It is a non-profit organization that specialized in school assemblies geared toward character education. My tour partner, Katey, and I are touring in the Mid-west until June.
We love to meet new people and go rollerskating, hiking, visit museums, and driving across the US (Actually, I think I enjoy the driving part a little more than Katey, except when we are in Chicago).

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life to the fullest, Laugh every day, Love even when it hurts or can't benefit you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Prestige, Phantom of the Opera, Fools Rush In
Music: Almost any style. I don't get to excited about most screamo music, or music with derogitive lyrics or profanity
Books: The Tangible Kingdom, The Secret Message of Jesus, This Beautiful Mess, The Twilight Series (I know...right?) Crazy Love

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled from Valparaiso, IN to Los Angeles, CA on a bus for my current job. It was an interesting 4 days. From getting a concussion an hour before I got on the bus, to the bus being abandoned by the driver in the middle of Kansas, to a six hour layover in Denver that should never have happened because my ticket was supposed to take me straigh to LA... It was a crazy experience for my first time traveling by myself.

I went spelunking in Northern California (cave exploring, hehe).
I drove through Oregon where it rains bugs. (Quite literally).
I stayed in Washington and rode on a ferry.
I got a flat tire in Montana where the only place that was open was the bars (and got laughed at for walking in and asking for help changing my tire).
I tried an Idaho potato in Idaho(delicious!)
I flew for the first time out of LAX the Saturday before Christmas (I survived...phew)
I saw Mount Rushmore.
I drove through blinding snow in Wisconsin on December 24 trying to get home in time to have Christmas with my family.

Every day is another adventure, and I love it!

Teach, Learn, Share

In December I met an old man in South Dakota in Dairy Queen who was sitting by himself and handing out Christmas Cards to random people. My tour partner and I spent some time talking with him and learned that he was very lonely. It broke my heart. I gave him my address and told him to feel free to write. He hasn't yet, but I hope he does.

I enjoy meeting the lonely people. These are the people in the margins that the rest of society has forgotten about. I hope for maybe just a moment in time I can help their lives not to be so lonely. I want to learn from them, I want to know their stories, I want to laugh and love.
