Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Came to Taiwan in search of a new home. I surfed on many couches and met many new friends along the way. Now that I have taken residence in Taitung I would like return the favor be the host.

Interests

In a nutshell:

Nature, art, travel, conversation, food and drink.

I shoot and edit video. In my spare time I sample, mangle, and rearrange records into new "songs". I studied art and have some drawing and painting skills too but think that may have to wait until retirement.

Jazz, hip hop, reggae, Willie Nelson, David Lynch, the foreign classics like Goddard or Kurosawa or Tarkovsky.

I like books too but they usually put me to sleep.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm... The Inca trail. Blankets of stars, hidden ruins, and the stories of strangers.

I'd say I'm a fairly well rounded guy and can converse on many subjects. Art, music, film, travel, politics, economics, social issues, history, sasquatch, etc..

Practically speaking, I can offer assistance with your cameras, teach you a few BBQ tricks, and perform the heimlich if you are choking on something so tasty that you forgot to chew.
