ABOUT US

We are Camila and Carlos Vitor, a young Brazilian couple who decided to take a break from everyday life and go on a gap year around the world. We have three children of paws (2 cats and 1 dog), who stayed in Brazil. For that reason alone, being here is already a big challenge. Anyone who has pets knows what we're talking about, right? Haha

Traveling for so long and so far is considered by many an act of courage, for us it is an act of love, for ourselves. This is a dream that is being realized and we want to share these moments with other people, getting to know new cultures and making friends wherever we go.

Somos Camila e Carlos Vitor, um jovem casal de brasileiros que resolveu dar um pause na vida cotidiana e partir para uma viagem de um ano pelo mundo. Temos três filhos de patas (2 gatos e 1 cachorro), que ficaram no Brasil. Só por esse motivo, estar aqui já é um grande desafio. Quem tem pets sabe do que estamos falando, né? Rsrs

Viajar por tanto tempo e pra tão longe é considerado por muitos um ato de coragem, pra gente é um ato de amor, para nós mesmos. Esse é um sonho que está sendo realizado e queremos dividir esses momentos com outras pessoas, conhecendo novas culturas e fazendo amizades por onde a gente for.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We are traveling more slowly (and cheaper) precisely to get to know the places where we are going to go. So, one of the best ways we found is through Couchsurfing. Making friends and creating memories are worth much more than checking a bucket list.

The world will be our home, and the people we meet along the way our family. We hope to be able to create bonds of friendship with our hosts. And so we have the opportunity to get closer to the local culture, and share Brazilian culture as well.

Estamos viajando de forma mais lenta (e mais barata) justamente para conhecer mais a fundo os lugares por onde iremos passar. Então, uma das melhores formas que encontramos é por meio do Couchsurfing. Fazer amigos e criar memórias valem muito mais que dar o check numa “bucket list”.

O mundo será nosso lar, e as pessoas que encontraremos pelo caminho nossa família. Esperamos poder criar laços de amizade com nossos hosts. E assim ter a oportunidade de nos aproximar da cultura local, e compartilhar da cultura brasileira também.

We really enjoy listening to international rock and Brazilian rock. We also enjoy listening to reggae, samba, forró and other types of Brazilian music. Some of our favorite bands are: Foo Fighters, Queen, Pearl Jam, Dead Fish, Charlie Brown Jr., Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, etc.

About movies and series, we love Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Stranger Things, Harry Potter, Marvel movies. We really like comedy, romantic comedy, drama, sci-fi movies and series.

Gostamos muito de ouvir rock internacional e rock brasileiro. Também curtimos ouvir reggae, samba, forró e outros tipos de música brasileira. Algumas das nossas bandas favoritas são: Foo Fighters, Queen, Pearl Jam, Dead Fish, Charlie Brown Jr., Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, etc.

Sobre filmes e séries, amamos Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Stranger Things, Harry Potter, filmes da Marvel. Gostamos muito de filmes e séries de comédia, comédia romântica, drama, ficção científica.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The biggest, most amazing thing we've done, we're doing now. Traveling the world, only with a backpack on my back. But, we have already traveled in 13 days aboard a crossing cruise. Carlos Vitor made a pilgrimage in Brazil, where he walked 300km on foot alone.

A maior e incrível coisa que fizemos, estamos fazendo agora. Viajando pelo mundo, apenas com uma mochila nas costas. Mas, já viajamos em 13 dias a bordo de um cruzeiro de travessia. Carlos Vitor realizou uma peregrinação no Brasil, onde andou 300km a pé sozinho.

We can exchange many experiences about photo editing, social media content production, craft work, origami production. We would love to learn new foreign languages, plant management, cook new flavors of the world. To share good times and experiences, nothing better than taking Brazilian cuisine.
