About Me
Hiya! I'm Cami, an Argentinian living in London. I came here last November to work as an Au Pair for a lovely English family, with the idea of practising my English and travelling as much as possible around the UK (I'm free from Friday nights to Monday afternoons). Because of the lockdown, I haven't been able to travel yet, but I plan to start travelling on April/May, taking all the necessary precautions. I'd love to go to a different city every weekend and stay with locals (I'm sure my host family will be happy to give good references about me).
I'm kind, honest and open-minded. I like travelling alone, but I don't like being alone (I'm always making friends along the way). I enjoy the simple pleasures of life and travelling on a low budget. Last, but not least, I'm sure you'd like to know that I'm very tidy, organised and respectful of other people's belongings.
More about me
I find the natural world fascinating, nothing is better for me than camping in the woods surrounded by lakes and mountains.
While Biology is a big part of my life, I have a wide range of hobbies and interests. To mention just a few, there's photography, baking, playing the guitar, listening to music, teaching.
Some of my favourite quotes:
“The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”
― Jon Krakauer
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
― Gandalf (J.R.R. Tolkien)
"It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living. "
― David Attenborough
"I think it's important to get away from where you've grown up for some of your life."
― Anna (Felicity Jones) in 'Like Crazy'
"Happiness is only real when shared."
― Christopher McCandless
