ABOUT ME

I'm always changing my life. I am a lawyer specialized in Human Rights issues. I used to work for brazilian federal government on issues related with land policy (regularization of favelas, ethnical territories, management of the occupation in the beaches ecc) but I left it in 2008 to follow an old dream: study Cinema at the EICTV (International School of Cinema and Television - www.eictv.org.cu), in Cuba. Now I'm a screenwriter for TV, internet and cinema! I also do a lots of scriptdoctoring around to try to improve audiovisual projects.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe diem! Plus, me and my sister created a good philosophy to help us to choose what to do in everyday: when you do have to decide something always think about how the page of this day will fit in your biography? How will it be written?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Before get into the EICTV I used to be very active in CS comunity hosting a lot of Surfers at my home in São Paulo and later in Brasilia. I also estimulated a lot of friends to get into it and host travelers from all around. Now it's not so easy since I travel a lot and my house in Rio is always full of friends who come to visit me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It has been started in a very funny and nice night in Amsterdam in Frank's house! : ) After that, I have been hosted in several places including in my own country... And it has been always funny! I also hosted a lots of people in my house in São Paulo, Brasilia and Rio... I'm proud to say that I've never had any inconvenience or bad experience at all... And more: here I made a lot of great new friends!!

I'm a kind of fanatic about movies!! A lot of movies made recently on Latin America (brazilian - viva Karin Ainousz, Sergio Gomes, Cao Guimarães! - and argentinian, uruguayan and chilean new waves) plus Win Wenders, Kusturica, Fellini, Bergman, Lars Von Trier, Almodovar, Tarantino, Kieslowski, Tom Tykwer, Wong Kar Wai, Tim Burton, Abbas Kiarostami, Tsai Ming-Liang, Sokurov, Bella Tarr, Bergman etc etc...
I love classic of rock (beatles, rolling stones...), blues, soul, Brazilian Popular Music, maracatu (and everything with strong percussion) balkanical songs (kusturica/bregovic), tracy chapman, indie rock (Ida Maria, We're from Barcelona, Edward Shape and the Magnetic Zeros).....
I'm also crazy about latin literature.. Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, Antonio Skarmeta... and also fanatic about Jose Saramago!
I also like a lot Harry Potter and all Tolkien's stories!! :)

Share is almost a mantra in my life! I´m pretty curious about everything. So I´m interested in learning almost everything. (But I must advice that I´m a disaster with manual tasks!)
