ABOUT ME
Hi Hi My name's Camille, I am what you could call sincere, or try to be as much as possible. Traveling for me is personal as well as social and I like a good mix of both. If you like to read, cook, paint, take photos, write, watch films (i.e. have a creative outlet), do sports, dance, play games, and/or talk philosophy (i.e. ruminate vocally on your life experiences) then I will get along with you. Even if you don't I may still get along with you.
PHILOSOPHY
"The secret for harvesting from existence the greatest fruitfulness and the greatest enjoyment is--to LIVE DANGEROUSLY! Live at war with your peers and yourselves! Send your ships into uncharted seas!" --Nietzsche
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate creatively, whilst eating, whilst talking philosophy, during feats of physical endurance...
I use couchsurfing for many things--first of all meeting people wherever I go, whether I need a couch or not. Also for traveling, obviously. I've also used it to find sources for my articles, to find apartments, to speak recreational French. One thing I emphatically do not use CS for is as a dating site.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had 99% good experiences with couchsurfing, sometimes profound experiences, often hilarious ones.
Interests
I tend towards the creative and the visual and the active--photography, cooking, art (mostly painting), sport (running, hiking, biking), reading, cinema, languages, traveling of course...to cite the main ones, though I could throw in things like quantum physics, entomology, calligraphy, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
the good ones.
If you say you like "most things" that means you don't really like anything at all. I really love discussing books and movies with knowledgeable people, even if we have differing tastes.
Books are a permanent fixture in my life. I am never not reading something, whether it be a novel, non-fiction, or a magazine article. Movies are my second love. I am not a melomane, however; I know what music I like (i.e. anything with a sick bass) but that's about it. And with the exception of The Simpsons and The X-Files, I am not a "TV person," whatever that means.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm. Once I ran out of money in the Gambia and through a series of fortuitous events was able to make it back to Dakar by the next morning in a marathon of public transport. That was like 20 hours of adrenaline and confusion and dusty red landscape and towering termite mounds and subsisting off packages of Biskrem cookies.
One time I was feeding ducks and a fellow CSer asked me, "How does it feel to feed the ducks?" So, that made me think a little bit.
I soaked in a wild onsen out in the middle of the woods in Beppu, Japan, with some naked strangers. That was nice.
Oh, and I cycled around Southern Corsica with my boyfriend. Cacti gave us 3 days of flats, but we persevered. We camped on the beach under the full moon and felt miles away from any tourists (they didn't come until the next morning).
Teach, Learn, Share
photography, cooking, writing, languages, painting. Probably lots of other things.
I would like to learn: more about any of the above, to make a film, graphic design
