About Me

I'm a young italian student. I live in Florence and I study Economics, Development and International Cooperation at university. I choose that university because I would like to do something good for the world. Maybe I have a little bit utopian objectives, but why not. I love photography and I would like to become something like a photoreporter in the future. I also love to travel and to discover new places, cultures and different ways of living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that Couchsurfing can give you a great opportunity to discover places with the eyes of the ones who live there. It can be a way to really live the place where you are going, coming in contact with the way of living of the inhabitants. A way to experience travel as a deep journey in different cultures and not just as tourism.

Interests

As I said before one of my greater intrest is photography. Since almost one year I'm also trying to learn to play piano and studying french. I 'm also a volounteer for Amnesty International ( an international human rights organization).

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music artists are Pink Floyd, Fabrizio De André ( an italian singer-songwriter), Edith Piaf and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros ( an american group that plays indie-folk music, very nice and happy). I also like classical music.
Regarding books one of my favourite author is Tiziano Terzani, an italian journalist who lived for the most part of his life in Asia, reporting events as Vietnam war, and who had a philosophy of life that i really love. Other books that I loved are Dostoyevsky "Crime and Punishment", Grossman "Someone to Run with" and many others.
Movies "Into the Wild", "Samsara", "La vita è bella"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On September 2015 I've been to Laos on my own. It was, I think, the greater experience of my life. I learnt how to travel alone and I got in touch with a culture so different to mine with which I fell in love. Since when I came back here in Florence I'm looking forward to come back to Asia and to travel a lot around that amazing, huge and full of surprises continent.

What I Can Share with Hosts

With the hosts I can share my self, my passions, my little, but everyday growing, knowledge of the things of the world. I'm kind and I like to listen to people, listen their stories. I can get in love with many things and I like to share with people my experiences.
