About Me

I like monkeys! Indeed, that is my weakness, I can't resist them.
That is why I decided to study them, and to make my passion a job - hopefully.

I am currently doing my PhD in Canada and that is the beginning of a new chapter of my life (definitely the coldest so far!)

I love being outside, and be stunned and amazed by nature while walking and hiking around.
I feel easy-going and open-minded and I am sure I can make you laugh, somehow!
I love meeting new people and get to know different cultures, but I feel close to my roots, and my favourite place on heart is the forest around my parents' house, in Tuscany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think travelling is more than seeing some monuments, it is feeling the place and seeing it through the eyes of locals.

Interests

I love art as the way for the expression of a culture and I am fascinated by how strong it could be.

I was in a theatre company for many years, and I love theatre and cinema.

I like drawing and if I would have not taken the animal behaviour path, I would have liked to be an illustrator for children book.

Music, Movies, and Books

One of each to give you an idea :)

"Redemption song" by Bob Marley. It is one of the few song I don't feel embarassed to sing at karaoke

"Forrest Gump", a film of such a personal importance, that makes me believe so much in my dreams.

"King Solomon's ring" by Konrad Lorenz, that was my first approach with ethology and I advice to read, for is catching power

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a wooden hut in Madagascar for three months, sharing my small house with lemurs, coackroaches and mice.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am not the best Italian cook around, but some genetical skills must be in me!
So I can try to cook you something, or I can talk about animals for hours.
