I am italian, 29, anthropologist with a master in Educational Policies for Development. I have been volunteering in my field of study, while I worked in very different areas (waitress, seller, tourist entertainer..) before and after my degrees. I worked in Germany, Canary Island, Argentina and now I am in Colombia, volunteering and looking for a job. I'm an active person, I like to travel and explore nature. I am interested in local/folkloric dances and music, I like to learn new languages and I hope to be always open enough to get to know new ways of living and experiencing the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I still don't have my own place where I can host because I depend by the owner of the moment, I think Couchsurfing is a brilliant idea based on very good assumptions about people: trust, solidarity, and exchange. I think Couchsurfing not only allows people with fewer resources to travel but also allows people to trust each other, to share stories/food/moments and to build healthy connections among individuals. I really like the concept and I think this kind of initiative should be present not only to sleep but also to eat or to barter goods. Personally, I subscribed to CS because I think it gives me the opportunity to grasp a bit more of the places I visit, staying with local people and try to grasp a bit of the local reality.
