I'm a 30 years old musician, living in Paris. After studying jazz, I dedicated myself to playing brazilian music. I love its poetry, rhythms, history, its way of being an "art of life".... and that's why I'm travelling now in Brazil, to understand better how this music is played and lived here.
I'm sharing this journey with one of my closest friend, Valentin Delbrel. He is a guitarist and we use to play together and share a project called "Onda Luar"

I also teach singing to adults and children, learn different instruments (currently pandeiro!) organize concerts, write poetry (and all kind of things), read, go to movies and theater, walk (a lot), share my readings in a reading club, imagine projects, share time with beloved people...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm very curious about the process of travelling, "being made" by the journey. I can't imagine going to a place and remaining far from its inhabitants. I'm not travelling for partying, going to the beach, get drunk.... well, you get my point :) All I want to say it's that connecting to the locals shape your experience, create surprises, question your way of thinking, makes you discover and understand the country from "the inside", and mostly, give birth to amazing encounters.

What stimulate me a lot is cultivating a sense of listening, speaking and sharing. But I'm not expecting you to be always with me, you have your own life. So if your not available for sharing time together, it's ok, it's a reason for writing a bad review!

Interests

I'm opened to beauty and joy. Arts of all kinds are a good way to be surrounded by beauty and surprised. Sharing my interests and being receptive to anyones else is an attitude I like. What is more exciting than discovering ?

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy every king of music, no matter the style. My main influences are french songs ("chansons à texte"), spanish song and jazz. Currently I'm digging brasilian and spanish music.

Movies... well, I'm very much into old movies. The only ones I can't watch are horror movies.. For the rest, I'm all for it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Ladakh, trekking through Zanskar and reaching Phuktal monastery.

At an other scale, is to give life to "Onda Luar", our music project with three musicians and friends.

I can share my knowledge in the vocal technique, jazz and french litterature. I can also teach you some words and sentences in French :)
