I am a bright eyed, working professional who loves the feeling of freedom and manages to find it in the most curious places. I find freedom when flying, when allowed to do my work my way, when scuba diving, and when packing up the car for a road trip with no destination. I believe life IS the journey, not the end point!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Communities created without a financial tie invite the types of people I want to surround myself with, whether I'm at home, or traveling in a new space. I invite compassion in to my life daily, and hope to share that with the couch surfing family while creating lower cost trips to afford more of them!

Interests

Some times I envy those who have one or two "deep" passions. Instead, I have a passion for diversifying my interests. I pursue none of them with much seriousness, but I do approach them all with an open mind and a desire to learn and grow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After college, I packed my car and drove East from my home and college town of Lawrence. I had no plan other than a deadline and a gas budget because I had to be back to start my first "real" job. I drove 5500 miles solo over the next four weeks. I was terrified, and that convinced me it was exactly the right thing to do. My brain too often hounds me with all the negative "what ifs", but this experience taught me to flip that to ask myself "what if you wished you had done it sooner?"
