About Me

Hi! I'm from Reunion Island which an island next to Mauritius and Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. It's a french territory. I grew up there, and traveled around this place (South Africa or Australia). But when I came to France (the main land) to do my studies, I realized I didn't know anything about Europe at all. So I decided to be an au pair in England for two months in 2016. During this trip, I did my first couchsurfing. I was totally convinced by this concept : meeting new people and share good moments together, how nice ! Now that I have a bit more time to travel, I would like to enjoy this opportunity given by couchsurfing.

Interests

I'm fond of dance, I've been practicing it for eight years or something like this! I love going out to dance or seeing some dance shows. I'm also interested in cinema. Last year, I went for the first time to Cannes Festival. I had the opportunity to see movies in preview and I felt so privilege. Listening to actors or film directors during conferences was really nice.

Last September I started theatrical improvisation. It's quite hard, but I really enjoy it. It gives you such freedom and fun. During the lessons, I couldn't stop laughing. I'm a joyful person, not very complicated, and always optimistic. My favorite song : "The bare necessities of life", or in French : "Il en faut eu pour être heureux". In short, I enjoy life !

But don't see me as a naive person, I like having serious conversations too. I love thinking about how our societies work. That's why I'd like to become a journalist. I'm very passionate about it, and I already wrote a few articles for different French newspapers. I think our way to do journalism must change (because of Internet, or social network for example), and I'd like to take part of this mouvement.

Last but not east, I also really like meeting new people and especially people who come from other countries! It's very interesting to discover how they live. They often have an other vision of life and I like to see the difference between us! I'm also very talkative and being with somene who has lots to say too is a pleasure for me!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is "Call me by your name" . I like the atmosphere of the movie. The characters speak French, English and Italian. The set is also gorgeous, with a lot of sun. And I find the love story really romantic. I advise you to see this movie!

My favorite book? hum, hard to say! I'm a huge fan of literature. I like classical but also new books. The last book I read is a French one called "Rien ne s'oppose à la nuit" written by Delphine De Vigan : very touching.

Finally my tastes in music are kind of strange because I don't have any specific style. I like jazz as well as electronic music : yes quite weird. But this means that I'm open to discover other king of music, an it would be a pleasure to discovers my host's ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm going to do a race in hitchhiking from Bordeaux in France to Ljubljana in Slovenia. It's really exiting!
