I'm Camille, 27 years old and French :)

I'm a very enthusiastic person who loves music and people and dancing and playing games and yoga, and a lot of fun stuffs. I'm passionate about personal development, thinking about freedom and deconstruction of standards, genders, etc.

I used to work as communication and marketing assistant in a computer company, it was really interesting but I had to stop because it was no longer in agreement with my values. For now I'm unemployed, I volunteer in social associations, I play music, I embroider feminist stuffs and I'm trying to write graphic novels scenarios.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I'm in favour of helping and welcoming people instead of let them go to an hotel by themselves. It's like hitchhiking : it's fun and social, whereas train are lonely and expensive.

I believe we learn a lot about life by meeting and helping people, that's how we grow up and open our mind. And... I don't really like giving my money to capitalist companies ^^ I prefer giving my time to lovely people !

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up in jazz and blues music thanks to my dad (playing double bass). I love pop, independent music, french music, electro, soul music... A little bit of metal... a lot of stuffs actually! I love when it's crazy and emotional <3 And I'm a huge fan of Aurora.

About books, I had a loooong period of medieval fantasy :D (Robin Hobb powaaa)
I love dystopias, SF, stories about different way of living/thinking and I have a weird interest about stories talking about reality shows oÔ (don't know why). My favorite book is "La horde du contrevent" by Alain Damasio (read it!).

And movies... I prefer series actually, but I love SF and dystopias too. I like japanese animation, cartoons, biograpies, etc. I watch movies and series in two situations :
- while I'm embroidering
- with friends, beers and cakes (careful, I speak during the movies :/)
And I haaaate absurd humour. Sorry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm making my own washing liquid, waaaaaaaouh!
Do you want the receipe???

- 1 L of boiling water
- 40 g of grated Marseille soap
- 1 dessert spoon of bicarbonate powder.

Mix everything, let it rest one night, mix again when it becomes solid, add water to obtain the consistence you want and why note a bit of essential oil of tea tree or lemon. Put everything in your container and Biiim!
With my 5 flatmates, we spent like... 25 euros of ingredient in one year for washing liquid :D
