About Me
Hi all! I'm a French student living in Brussels, looking forward to becoming a teacher for kids, after studying Psychology for a year.
In my childhood I had the opportunity to travel with my parents around Europe and North America. This helped me a lot to become independent and autonomous quite early.
I've started traveling on my own when I was 14 (my first destination was Iceland) ; and this is precisely what opened my own world and my mind!
Since then, I can't wait to be on the road again to discover new places, new atmospheres, new cultures, and interact with people from everywhere.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I recently discovered Couchsurfing and I was amazed by the idea. It perfectly fits with my way to travel, such as discovering the inside part of the visited country thanks to the locals. They are the ones who make the trip alive, and the meetings are my best memories at each time!
On top of that, it responses to my will to enhance solidarity between people from everywhere, as members of one big human family.

Music, Movies, and Books
Talking about music, I love discovering new songs and artists. I can enjoy a lot of different styles, from rock to reggae, and from ska to classic music. I have a slight preference for folk music though, and cannot stand electronic music !
Concerning books, I really enjoy reading essays about the contemporary world, learning about many places abroad that I have no idea about. Otherwise I'm reading with pleasure some novels (my favorite is probably Kafka on the shore, by Murakami).
About movies, I basically enjoy every movie out of an arthouse cinema, with a real esthetic matter and a structured scenario! I just hate horror movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Flying above the Sahara Desert at the beginning of an adventurous month in Ghana. I will always remember this journey : no clouds, no one, just the blue sly and the sand dunes down there. This experience has been announcing my one-month-life in a small town of Ghana. I've learnt so much about myself, my limits, the life and the world in general.
After this trip, I was totally changed, appreciated my everyday's life way more than before.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching is part of my life project! Transmitting an experience or a knowledge I had to someone else is quite exciting for me. I'm ready to share every piece of my culture to someone interested in it, from my mother tongue to some cooking recipes ...
And I'm of course willing to learn a lot about the culture I'm discovering, such as the local traditions, typical food, events, dances, skills : you're welcome!
What I Can Share with Hosts
What can I share... I'd say, as much as possible! Depending on each other's interests, I'd be delighted to share parts of my life with them (which is the principle of Couchsurfing, according to me). Talking, cooking, dancing, reading, writing, visiting ... everything is an opportunity to learn from each other.
As a side note, I've become an expert in cooking traditional French quiches and african plantain :D
