ABOUT ME

I must admit that I can be quite odd, hopefully in the endearing crazy aunt kind of way, but I am also a loyal and kind friend. I am from California and encompass everything about the laid back surfer lifestyle that it promotes. I love relaxing with my dogs, being sarcastic, spending time alone ( although from time to time I've been known to party like its the useless year of 2002), and using weird phrases like the one prior. ok this is starting to sound like a dating profile so I am just going to wrap it up..basically I'm a chill and fun person to be around with a streak of adventure strangely coupled with a dash of shyness.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to learn. About myself, about others, about the past...I purposefully put myself in situations that maybe uncomfortable for me in order to understand myself just a wee but better. I love hearing other people's stories and histories and truly listening.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not yet experienced couch surfing but many of my friends who were abroad last semester had a great time couch surfing. My sister has also hosted many people and loved every second of it! I can't wait to reciprocate my couch surfing experience and show people around my current home of Boston!

Music, Movies, and Books

Just got the new Mumford and sons album and shamelessly love it
Some other such indie bands as a homage to my CA home ( city and color, Amadou and mariam, devendra banhart, local natives,etc).
I also am a fan of some classic rock like guns n roses and metallica
I read everything everywhere and it is Impossible for me to narrow that down.
Just saw the hobbit and loved it and am excited to see Les Mis although I foresee that I may be viewing it in Czech..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding an elephant in Laos.
Wailing/Western Wall in Jerusalem
Monks walking to a prayer service at 5 am
Having a loving and supportive family. Not really a place or thing but being around them makes me feel amazingly lucky.
